What is Ms. WOW, you ask?

As a good friend of mine says, “Men will do anything to get to dress in women’s clothing.” This regatta is about women, and specifically it’s about getting more women competing. That said, we also understand that sometimes it’s difficult to get a full crew if we exclude men altogether. So, in the spirit of good fun (and allowing men an excuse to dress up) we have the “Ms. Wow” competition.

Any man who is crewing should, in the spirit of the event, cross-dress at least a little. For the guys with guts, following the event while we have our BBQ and wait for results, we’ll have the Ms. Wow catwalk. Then we get to vote for the coveted title of Ms. Wow. Each woman who races gets a single vote. For Ms. Wow, you get to take home the perpetual trophy until next year, something I’m sure we can agree is truly an honor. So guys, get out your tiaras (or borrow one) and remember, “Gail Force” is the one to beat.
